Barcelona to host four more test days

Following the cancellation of both the final Formula 1 test session in Bahrain plus the season-opening Grand Prix at the Sakhir venue, it has been confirmed that the F1 fraternity will be returning to Barcelona for four more days of pre-season running between Tuesday 8 and Friday 11 March.
With the expected news regarding Bahrain having arrived in the Circuit de Catalunya paddock just minutes before testing ended on Monday, it is now official that the season will be starting a fortnight later than scheduled and in Australia, with the Sakhir cancellation being the sport’s first since 1985, when the Spa-Francorchamps track surface was breaking up.
With four more days of testing in Barcelona scheduled for 8-11 March, it is possible that the Bahrain Grand Prix could be switched to Round 18, between newcomers India and neighbouring country Abu Dhabi.
