2011 Formula 1 Fantasy League Feeler Thread

^ LOL I am under chronic sleep deprivation, not exciting! I am in for option 1 again. Sadly I got too busy half way through the year to stay on top of it. I look forward to having dana back in the live banter threads though..

I picked option three.
Because I miss the stock market feel of the stock market.

I will definitely be a part of it again this season. I voted for just Strategy 1, purely so we don't continually see GrayTT and Quattro Joe at the top like last year!

Under the old system you were really rewarded for following F1 like a true fanatic.
You were forced to watch the races live - at ungodly hours - just to stay on top of value movement.
I remember once in 2009 when Nakajima had a few good showings in a row. His value started to go up but I held off. I needed 1.2 Million to buy Fernando Alonso. As soon as the race that week started a couple of cars crashed and Nakajima somehow lead the race (I don't even remember what race it was). I dropped one of my cheap guys (Kubica I think) and picked up Nakajima. Within 30 seconds his value had shot up over 2 million! I immediately sold him, picked up Alonso and pocketed .8 million!! It felt like sex. The best part is that Nakajima retired about 2 laps later and he ended up cheaper then when the race started - so I picked him up too!
That was what made the old system so great.
But not everyone wants to get up at 2:00 am to watch the race.

That sounds soooooooo much better than it was last year. I say we bombard them with emails telling them to go back to the old system!

I'm in! My votes for strategy 1.

Lucky for me, most of the races are in the evening
I'm up for option 1. Its alot like the old system, minus the drivers values constantly changing. Still wish they would bring it back.
All I know is I'm ready for this season to start already!

Right now I am just going to go with Fantasy Racers.
I honestly cannot find a better site that will let us have a private league for free.
I am going to restrict entry to Strategy 1 this year.
I will make a thread once I have created the league with all of the info and league password.
