Thanks guys!
There's always room for more drivers on the team if you're interested. The first race of the season is at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI on March 26th. It still seems like such a long ways away but it'll be race weekend before I know it!

Nice man. Many races are won well before the flag drops...
I'm hoping to do Reno, Buttonwillow and possibly Streets of Willow 24 this year, but I'm no longer really with my team so I'm having to scrounge for rides.

It's been a while since I last updated this thread but the SVT Contour I switched to driving is getting buttoned up to go racing this weekend.
Long story short, I was going to drive the '01 Escort with another guy and we were looking for more drivers. My buddy's team with the SVT Contour had 4 drivers but 1 backed out and I was going to take that guy's spot. After talking to the guy who I was originally going to drive with, I found out that he'd already booked a flight and a place to stay in Wisconsin for the race so I graciously passed my spot on the Contour team to him and said I'd sit this one out if I couldn't find 3 more drivers for the Escort. That was the plan for the last month or so.
Early this morning, I got a message from my buddy with the Contour that they fired one of their other drivers (another long story there) and that his spot was mine if I wanted it!
I'm so excited because for the past month, I've been helping to build the Contour so I'll get to drive and experience the fruits of my labor. The other great thing is that this car really does have a genuine chance at dominating the competition this season and it should be a blast to drive!
I'm really excited for this weekend but also terrified because it's a so far unproven car and I've never actually driven 'round a race track outside of a racing simulator...
Wish me luck!
