unlikely, it's one of ferraris biggest markets.

look for more european races to be dropped in favor of international locales.

Not surprised that this happened considering how dangerous Sao Paulo is. Glad that they got away unscaved though!

Bernie doesnt seem too worried about it, here's an excerpt from a BBC article on the incident:

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone insisted that the incidents should be kept in perspective.

"I have been coming here for 40-odd years, walking about, and I've never, ever had a problem," he said.

"You have to remember we have a lot of problems in England, Oxford Street and places, and in New York people get mugged."

Not only did it happen to Button, but also to a couple of Sauber engineers.
Crazy

Can't believe his armored car didn't have a heartbeat sensor and UAV going through the Favela.

I'm disapointed the story didn't go "Button escapes driving his E63 flat out through mountain roads. Robbers in M5 stood no chance."

I'm torn about what's going to be more interesting about the Olympic games in Rio -- the sporting events or muggings, kidnappings and killings.
