First year in a rally car is so much more than car control. To actually win a stage (as Kimi did) in your first year is incredible. That said, he'll get more accustomed to pace notes, etc. and do better in 2011. Just wait.

I saw an interview with BP Ford Abu Dhabi Team Director, Malcolm Wilson, at WRC Spain and he said he was very interested in signing Kimi for 2011. He was concerned that he tends to have expensive accidents at the moment, but his talent is undeniable and he'd be a great addition to the Ford team. Kimi at Ford (in the new car); the new Citröen with Loeb and MINI back as a factory entry will make for a good season next year.

Off to Wales Rally GB next weekend - must remember to pack the thermals and waterproofs.
