It has been reported by the Statesman newspaper that the Austin, Texas facility which will welcome the United States Grand Prix in 2012 will cost a price in the region of 180 million dollars (just under 115 million pounds) to construct and set up.
Although the documents seen by Statesman are believed to be marked as ‘confidential’, it is believed that they have been handed to the paper by Austin City Hall.
A positive reward of 300 million dollars (190 million pounds) is expected to be reaped by the area, with race fans due to travel to Austin from across the country and the globe.
Other information provided is that some 1,500 construction workers will be required to build up the venue before 1,200 are employed to work on its maiden Grand Prix weekend in two years’ time.
On top of this, 40 full-time employees will be working at the circuit for the duration of the year.
