It would need to be somewhere on the east coast, simply for the live broadcast. 2:30pm local time is 9:30 on Sunday night in most of Europe. Move it to CA, and all of a sudden, the race is either in the morning local time, or past midnight in Europe.

Sebring. Chew those pansy snob cars up a little.

Also, There Are Way Too Many Trees And Most Corners Don't Have Large Enough Run-off Areas To Handle The Speeds That F1 Cars Run At. Then Again, There Aren't Any Long Straights Either So Maybe The Cars Won't Get Going That Fast?

I'd Love To See F1 Go To Laguna Seca. That's About As Close To An F1 Circuit As You're Going To Find In The Us These Days, Imo. I Think Pit Lane And The Garages Are Still Far Too Small To Accomodate 30 F1 Cars Though.

Laguna Seca hands down. They raced the Indy car series there for years and didn't have any issue with pit sizes.

Road Atlanta while fantastic would chew up the F1 cars. The S curves up the hill to the back side are much bumpier than can be seen from anywhere but the track. Although seeing the F1 cars come under the bridge and down the hill to the front straight would be amazing. It might end in some fiery F1 pieces though. That has the potential of a 140mph straight entry speed.

Road America I agree....No way the pits could handle it.

VIR not big enough to accomadate and No good fan locations

Most other GOOD road courses for ALMS etc just don't have the fan capacity required.

Miller Motorsports doesn't work for F1. Too much camber and undulations on the back end. It's also too long full track and too short on the short track. It's one damn fun track to race but the F1 cars would be lost with just 28 cars and they would have huge issues with stands and spectators. The track is so inner twined Fans can't surround the track really.

Sebring LOL....Those cars would be in pieces after lap 3

Laguna Seca is insane to race and I think 90% compatible for F1 cars. I'd love to see the CorkScrew with them but don't know exactly what the cambers would actually do to the small chasis. It would be cool for sure. Though our speeds were only close to 50 thru there the F1 cars would lose the advantage road cars have because the dirt isn't an option for a last ditch pass like the normal cars Not that I've done it
Monterey and Carmel could handle an F1 race with ease. Laguna's pits are quit possibly too small for 28 teams though. It would be damn close.

I was lucky enough to race the F1 circuit at the 2007 US grandprix just before the F1 race and I would vote for Indy again. Indy has huge race history and that track is very good with a long nice straight with some good twisties infield. Easily Indy can accomadate and it only left the F1 seen because Bernie wanted 20 million cash from the town to bring it back. Sometimes Arrogance gets the boot imho...

my 2 cents

We can't even get a team together, much less an adequate track.
