Exactly. If it's going to rain so hard they stop the race early every year, what's the point of racing there?

Still, given how much fun the rain made the racing this past weekend, this should be a fun race to watch but I'm going to be PISSED if I stay up til 3AM to watch the race and then they cancel it because of a storm.

It's actually a timing issue, not location.

Due to the tropical climate of south-east asia, a late afternoon storm happens most days during wet season (Apr/May).

The race was moved to a later start to suit our european friend's preferred tv viewing time. If they started at 2pm the risk of rain would diminish significantly.

I really like the Sepang circuit and would hate to see it go, the high speed corners are fantastic! Also it was the first of the 'made for F1' circuits designed by Tilke and it copes with top level racing better than some other venues.
