With all due respect, I don't agree. It makes it a guessing game. I hate that.

But take the race in Donington (1993) an an example.
You need to add new variables to the game:
- weather forecast
- new range of tires
It's obviously more about luck than any other race, but I like this kind of races because unusual things happen, unusual decisions are made. They need to really take there chances, because the ones who just make sure of keep a good rhythm won't win. The usual odds are off...

↑ There is no doubt that a race in the wet shows who has the balls and who doesn't.
But take the last race in Malaysia. Vettel doesn't win that race if Alonso and Hamilton don't get screwed out of their hot laps.
Given an even playing field, Vettel wouldn't have stood a chance. Both Hamilton and Alonso charged through the field like butter.
The rain made qualifying a lottery ticket. Vettel just picked the right number.

Anyway, I like one or two races with these conditions, just to keep the "doubt" ingredient.
