Hispania Racing unveils 2010 car
Hispania Racing unveils 2010 car - Formula 1 news - GPUpdate.net
The Hispania Racing Team (HRT), formerly known as Campos Meta, officially launched its 2010 contender in Spain on Thursday. The Madrid-based outfit travelled to the city of Murcia where it also revealed that Karun Chandhok becomes India's second ever Formula 1 driver alongside Bruno Senna, completing the 2010 grid.
With former team owner Adrián Campos having sold the outfit to shareholder José Ramón Carabante, the Chairman was present in Murcia as well as Team Principal Colin Kolles, former head of the Midland, Spyker and Force India teams.
"The new HRT F1 Team is born in Murcia," commented businessman Carabante, whose squad takes the name of his Grupo Hispania company. "I am proud to welcome you to Murcia, where the team has its roots, and to have given to my country the pride of the first ever Spanish Formula 1 team.
"The name of the team contains the word Hispania, which is not only the name of one of my companies but also the Roman name for the Iberian Peninsula - that reflects our team's new identity."
Like fellow debutants Lotus and Virgin Racing, as well as Williams, Hispania is powered by Cosworth engines this year.

Um... cutting it pretty close...
This team completely justifies Mark Webber's rant about these new teams in Formula 1. I wish them the best, but I don't have high hopes considering they haven't had any practice.

Those are worse than Alonso's! Not a big fan of the car but I am definitely looking forward to seeing Senna drive.
