Davidson To Join Peugeot For Le Mans
I was very surprised that Davidson didn't get a seat in F1
I will miss him as a commentator on the BBC F1 streams.
He should do well with Peugeot.

i wasn't surprised he didn't get a seat this year, he didn't make the most of his tenure at super aguri. no memorable drives, nothing to raise eyebrows. that sort of showing will get you escorted to the F1 door faster than anything...irrelevance is a drivers worst enemy.
that being said i do think he has some talent and hope he does well in his future endeavors, it just seems as if he didn't have that killer instinct needed to be an F1 driver.

wow, that's crazy talk! ![Dizzy](https://teamspeed.com/forums/images/smilies/dizzyr.gif)
there is a big difference between an "also ran" like davidson and a guy that schumi himself stated help make up his mind to retire in the first place (schumacher stated his loss to kimi at spa in '05 was his impetus to retire). kimi has proven he has the killer instinct necessary to not only compete in F1 but win on a regular basis and dominate in the right car. if you watch his sector times when he is flat it is bloody sublime.
i truly believe he got bored with F1, he won races, he won a WDC and it became a "been there, done that" situation. i do believe he will be back though and likely in a red bull car replacing webber. he just needs to find his motivation again and maybe a couple years of rallying will do the trick.
