Piquet confirms NASCAR move for 2010

I just don't like people who sell out their team. That's why I don't like Alonso. He stepped in where he didn't belong during Stepneygate and screwed McLaren because he was pissed about not being treated like a #1 driver.
Piquet obviously has talent. But he needs to couple that with a better, more aggressive attitude. And some loyalty wouldn't hurt either.

I think the problem with Piquet is his attitude. A race car driver needs to at least appear to give a shit. That was the problem with Kimi. But Kimi could drive.

now, regarding his team...he was told that if he did what they asked (crash) he would retain his seat but the team then decided to drop him. now i don't know about you but i would be pretty damn pissed if i harmed my career (and looked like a fool) for no damn reason. i agree that it should have been handled better but he was put in a pretty shitty position by some shady characters that don't belong in F1 anyway.
i think at this point piquet's character can't be judged because of his youth, upbringing, and position he was put in to remain in formula one. you would be hard pressed to remain loyal to a team run by dishonest men who were essentially rigging the sport while also taking your seat . i don't blame him one bit really.
now alonso wet the bed that's for sure but mclaren knew better, they should not have shared that information with the drivers at least. regardless, i think things have sorted themselves out with alonso being at ferrari. he's the perfect driver for them and i believe they are the perfect team for him. should produce results for both parties.

a lot of people trusted flavio, webber was very reluctant to get rid of him (as his agent). bernie's close relationship with him raised eyebrows as well when all this went down (they own QPR together).
