Button visits McLaren factory
Formula One news: Button visits McLaren factory - GPUpdate.net Formula One
World Champion Jenson Button has visited the McLaren factory this week. The Englishman is currently without a contract ahead of his season of title defence and, with seemingly difficult negotiations ongoing with Brawn GP, is now linked again with a move to the Surrey team to partner compatriot Lewis Hamilton.
"As I've said many times before, Jenson wants to drive a car which is capable of winning the next World Championship," Button's Manager, Richard Goddard, told The Guardian. "We've been talking about possible terms for 2010 with Brawn for months and we're not being difficult or unreasonably expensive in our demands for Jenson. In fact, we've given up quite a lot of negotiating ground in our discussions with them."
Having taken a pay cut of Ł5m to Ł3m for 2009, Button is believed to desire a rise to around Ł6m for 2010 although Team Principal Ross Brawn feels that, instead of this, handing Button more freedom for personal sponsorship deals is a more appropriate approach.
"I think it's also important that Jenson wants to feel valued in whatever situation he finds himself next season," Goddard added. "He needs to explore all the feasible options."
A McLaren spokesperson has confirmed Button's visit, explaining that the Champion 'made a small detour to Woking to say hello'.

I hope not...that will be a bad move for McLaren imo. Button needs to stay with Brawn, and Kimi needs to go to McLaren.
