And he expressed his appreciation after every post I read to him. There is a TV mounted on the wall of his room, so we joked that it was a great thing after all that Fox was carrying the race today. Unfortunately, his wife called this morning and I learned that they had sedated him today because he is not getting enough rest and he pulled out his breathing tube from his mouth last night again.

On Friday night he pulled it out because it was bothering him. Then he pulled it out again last night, so they have apparently tied his hands down and sedated him today. He is not yet getting enough oxygen without the tube in there I guess. Otherwise, he is doing better. He was more alert on Friday, and seemed to be stable and feeling better. Anyhow, that's the update.

Sorry I missed the GP live this morning; I was up very late and super busy this morning and yesterday.
Sounds like he has a rough road ahead...hope it gets smoother soon.

Agree... It's really hard to hear someone having to go through that.

Best wishes man!

Went to see him again today. He looked much better than on Friday. He is still in the ICU and it is unclear when he will be released or transferred to another hospital. He was experiencing discomfort and pain because of his lung, but seemed to be managing the other injuries all things considered. He cannot speak yet because of his lung. He misses this board and the banter, and is determined to fully recover. He typed to me on his iPhone: "I will fully recover and still kick your ass." So there you go!

Thanks for another update, Erich! Glad to hear he's still cracking jokes. That's a good sign.

This is terrible news...I'm pretty new here, but have enjoyed Dana's posts. I wish him a speedy and full recovery. I'll say a prayer.

at least you know when he gets back he'll make up for the lost time.

Give him our wishes and hope for a speed recovery.
