Usually 8 AM from Europe, I don't know off the top of my head if Turkey is far enough east to be in a different time zone than France, Spain, etc.

Edit: 8 AM for ME. You won't be so lucky.

In every time zone?

We may need more than two banter threads then!

Did this not come up last year?

What time zone are you in? EST?

I don't mind being up at 2, 3, 4 AM so it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

That's a good question. Check your local listings I guess.

We didn't start the banter threads until deep into the season last year. I think we really only got together for the last 4 or 5 - long after FOX had broadcast its races.

Apologies in advance for the slightly off topic question.

What sort of 5.1 sound experience do you guys get for F1 broadcasts? Is it just noise coming out of all five speakers or do you hear car sounds moving across the speakers?

In Australia we have 5.1 sound for our broadcast too but IMO it's just noise coming from all five speakers, i.e. no real surround sound experience.

It is true Dolby Digital 5.1 and I get independant directional sound from my home theater setup. It is actually very cool.
