PIT-STOP ANNOUNCEMENT: There Will Be 2 Banter Threads For The Next 4 Formula 1 Races

The next four F1 races (Turkey, Britian, Germany, Hungary) are being televised on FOX in the U.S. and will not be on SPEED. The races will be tape-delayed and not telecast live on FOX. Practice and qualifying will be shown live on SPEED as usual and will not be affected.

Those of us in the U.S. would likely prefer to watch these races on FOX because it is guaranteed to be on - unlike the spotty Internet streams lately - and it will be broadcast in full HD and Dolby 5.1 SS. But this will prevent us from watching it live and participating in the live banter threads.

Thus, for the next 4 races we will have 2 race banter threads. One will be for those who want to watch it live. The other will be for those who want to watch on FOX.

I will start up the 2 race banter threads just after qualifying for each race.

Please be careful not to post any spoilers in the FOX race banter thread.

This is the best solution I could come up with. If there are any other suggestions, I am happy to entertain them.

Thanks!

Dana

can you say ?

I'm glad they're going to be shown delayed on FOX.. easier for me to watch with the timezone differences.

Can you post dates/times on this thread once you get them?

How long is the delay?

Being in the fantasy league will force me to watch it online if the delay is too long.

I think fox coverage is usually early afternoon on the east coast (start at 1 or 2 maybe).

This is a very good point that I had not considered. To maximize fantasy values you almost must watch it live.

It's gonna be a long day for me. I guess I will try to attend both banter threads.

At least I will get to see more of Bo.

Haha you have a nickname for Bonita?!?

I'm planning on watching both as well. I'll watch the live timing for sure so I can add/drop drivers as necessary from my fantasy team, and then watch the race in HD on FOX later.

I think I will do the same; I'll get up and do my best to watch on Justin.TV links (you should try it sometime, it's fun! ), but if those don't really work out I will watch FOX later on and make sure I don't give any of the plot away.
