Official F1 Turkish Grand Prix Pre-Race, Practice and Qualifying Banter Thread

Monaco was great!

But now it's time to look forward to the Turkish Grand Prix. So I thought I would get the banter and discussion thread up an running.

As usual, lets keep all posts about pre-race, practice, qualifying and the race right here.

I will post race times, etc. in a bit.

Will Brawn continue its dominance?

Will Red Bull and Toyota get back to form?

Has Ferrari stepped up to be Brawn's biggest rival?

Will Lewis survive the weekend?

Gotta love the drama!!

this should be good......I have a feeling Ferrari will finally break out.

I'm hoping for a 1, 2 by Ferrari!

Nah, I think Brawn will continue to dominate. Ferrari has a taste now, and could possibly podium again. McLaren ought to "hit it on the head" in Lewis speak and start developing for next year. The only danger I can see to Ferrari is now that they've seen a podium, they get wrapped up in a chase for points when in all honesty they should probably start developing for next year as well -- or make up their minds and quit already -- whichever.

What about banter during the actual race since it's on a tape delay and on FOX, which will have excruciating commentary?

Yes. We will need to decide this. It will affect the next 4 races.

What are the ideas?

We can have 2 threads - one for those that watch it live and one for those that watch on FOX.

Or we can all meet live and hope for a reliable justin.tv link - which is getting harder and harder to count on. Damn lawyers.

What do you guys and gal think?

I think either do it early w/ Justin links (certainly less than ideal) OR later on, obviously w/o spoilers, with the FOX coverage (also less than ideal).

As for me, I will watch live on the pirated links, even if there is a decision made not to banter during the morning. But that's just one man's opinion.

anyone know at what time the Fox feed will be?

Dana, I suggest you start a poll about it so that we can figure out the best way to have the most participants......for some reason, I'd rather not take any chances and just watch it on Fox. And if this is the case, I won't be visiting the pitstop until after the race is over on Fox just to avoid spoilers.

just my 2 cents

It is a good idea.

We will have four races to experiment so hopefully we can get it just right for the next 3 if this one doesn't work out perfectly.

I assume the practice and qualifying will be early AM speed channel coverage?

Can't we just set up a fund so everyone can caravan from track to track to watch the races live? We should be able to get a group rate so we can all sit together at each venue and we can discuss the race together live. Plus, it'd be the biggest Teamspeed meet to date!
