Bourdais qualifies in fifth at Sebring
Formula One news: Bourdais qualifies in fifth at Sebring - GPUpdate.net Formula One
Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Sébastien Bourdais will be enjoying the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race this weekend, in which the Frenchman's squad has qualified in fifth position for tomorrow's race.
Bourdais' single qualifying lap saw him secure a satisfactory lap time of 1.45.559 before returning to the pits. "There was no point in staying out any longer," he explained.
"The car is going well and I was able to push hard at once to set a time straight away. Franck Montagny will start with our car and he will benefit from tyres that have barely been scrubbed."

I'm really glad that Bourdais gets the opportunity to contest Sebring and Le Mans, it harks back to the days when drivers were masters of various racing disciplines and teams did not keep them from branching away from F1. B/c he was so succesful in champ car I root for Bourdais as if he was an American driver.
