This league is not like the NASCAR league with over 50 drivers. There are only 20 with only a few real contending teams. If just about everyone drafts Lewis Hamilton, then his points will be a wash for just about everyone involved. Effectively everyone who drafted Hamilton is playing with 27.5 mil roster as his points wont really count if we all have him.

One solution would be to have an agreement that no one drafts him, which would allow for all of us to really dig in to the details of each driver, each machine and each driver's history and talents relative to each track..........just a suggestion. Any thoughts?

That's putting a lot into Lewis and while he's my fav. you cannot count out Massa or the iceman. I think that's the key part is there are 3 great drivers that all could win and you just have to have the right guy every week...

Yeah, over the course of 18 races, you'll definitely see some differentiation of who gets points. I finally switched to a 4 driver strategy tonight and I think I'm pretty set.

Remember, if you pick Lewis for race #1 and want to switch him out for a later race, you lose money in your budget. On the 4 driver strategy that I set out above - which I honestly think is the only way you can really expect to win - you can really only afford 1 driver from the A list. And I think you had better stick with that guy the whole year - unless something really unexpected happnes (e.g., Kimi's meltdown last year). So, you might as well make that your favorite guy. I don't think that Tifosi are going to make that Hamilton. For me, it is Hamilton. The races wouldn't mean nearly as much if I didn't have it all on the line for Lewis. Likewise, if Hamad couldn't pick Kimi or Massa he may go into a coma. So I don't think everyone will pick Lewis. And those who pick Lewis and a Ferrari driver won't have enough money left over to have a quality 4-man team - which will make them a non-factor.

I am rethinking Alonso as an A-List driver. I think he must be in the B-List. I think I have my strategy pretty well set out.
