Formula One news: Klien fastest in Bahrain - GPUpdate.net Formula One

BMW Sauber F1 driver Christian Klien completed the fastest lap in Bahrain on Monday. The Austrian set his fastest time at 1.32.544 as he completed 131 laps. The day took place in perfect weather conditions and without any sandstorms this time.

The Toyota, BMW Sauber and Ferrari F1 team continued testing in Bahrain. The teams saw last week's test being spoiled by sandstorms but this week's four-day tested started with perfect weather conditions.

At BMW Sauber F1 Christian Klien took the wheel of the team's F1.09 and completed just over 130 laps. At Toyota through Jarno Trulli completed the most number of laps as the Italian completed 141 laps in Bahrain today.

At Ferrari Kimi Raikkonen was back in the car to continue with development of the car. Raikkonen worked mainly on assessing different set-up configurations, on a comparison of the different types of Bridgestone tyre available, including over long runs and on overall reliability. The day ended with a few practice starts from the grid.

Testing will continue on Tuesday in Bahrain.
