12 Hours of Sebring is next weekend! Just 2 more weeks til F1 starts up!!!!!!!!

 

For me, watching or re-watching a race, any race, where I know the outcome is not nearly the same as watching it live, where I know the outcome has not been determined yet. Even watching F1 on tape delay isn't nearly the same as watching it live. (I still watch, but know in my head that it is already over and the winner has already been determined, which for me, lessens the excitement). Am I weird this way, or do others feel the same way?

 

Actually Jeff I feell the exact same way. People always make fun of me for waking up at 3 or 4 am to watch a F1 race when I have DVR but there's just something missing so I do it anyway...

 

Yup, I'm the same way as well. I've gotta watch it live or it's just not really worth watching. If I miss a race though, I avoid going to any websites where I could find out the outcome of the race until I've had a chance to watch it. Even then, it still loses the excitement for me.

 

Yea given I have something important goin on the following morning and cannot be up to watch the race I still DVR but hate doing that. Something is just missing even if I havn't found out the outcome yet...

Damn right. I have actually been considering getting an automotive related tattoo. I'm thinking a pair of pistons connected to the crank tattooed over my heart.
