Yeah, it started to rain about 50 laps before the end of the race so they called all the cars in and tried to dry off the track but the rain picked up so the just ended it and everyone finished according to their running order when the race was stopped.

Based on unofficial scores in our fantasy league I compiled from ESPN.com, the finishing order after the Daytona 500 is as follows:
zoomsfob: 671 pts
Jeff_NJ: 577 pts
TTM0TION: 495 pts
planetdennis: 466 pts
LABrit: 463 pts
Quesswho: 427 pts
Barrister: 408 pts
like.no.other: 403 pts
Alzilla: 402 pts
I probably would've finished significantly higher if I would've realized that Kyle Petty was out before the race started.

Well that royally sucked. 408 measly points?? Two of my drivers had a DNF!! That never happens to me.
Enjoy it while it lasts but don't get used to it boys. I will return!! It is a very long season.
This is great fun! Awesome idea Guess Who!

Man, I would've schooled you in points if I had picked ANYONE besides Kyle Petty. I'll chalk it up to a rookie mistake and I'll come back and school everyone next time!

No problem, now if the damn rain would have let up and they were back racing it would have been an awesome ending to such an awesome race. Oh well next week is California and then they are off to Vegas, which is usually a good race.

Damn my old man got first this week, haha that sucks I'll never hear the end of it...
Brit, you don't "have" to change you just may want to based on different tracks etc. If you like your guys and think they will do well next week don't change a thing, but for instance montoya does really good at road courses as does Kyle B*tch Busch so you may want to add them those weeks. BUT entirely up to you and the crazy part is you never know what's going to happen...

Here are the updated points after the first race:
671 zoomsfob
577 Jeff_NJ
495 TTM0TION
466 planetdennis
463 LABrit
427 Guesswho
408 Barrister
403 Al-Khalifa
402 Alzilla
The restrictor plate tracks (Daytona and Talladega) are generally considered to be 'wildcard' races because of the big wrecks that take out innocent drivers and the draft that can put the leader on the white flag lap back 20 places at the checkers. Picking successfully on these tracks are more luck than skill, so if your picks didn't pan out, don't despair, it gets easier (or at least more predictable).
