Mind Games In Shanghai

In my never to be humble opinion Alonso as a person makes Hamilton look like a saint(not that I think highly of Lewis) his ego is too big for his already enormous head (bear in mind I rooted for him in 2004 not primarily him but I was happy if he won the occasional race or podium spot) after winning his first title in 2005 he did something that really showed me his real character he announced before the start of the 2006 season that he would move to Mclaren in 2007 which just shows you how ungreatful he was to Renault the team that made him, think of how this effected the Renault team how low their morale must have been to have their hero abandon them after he won his first title he could've atleast kept his announcment until the end of the season out of respect to his team.
Having said that he is an amazing driver arguably the best, not only is he quick and consistant on the track but he is the ideal test driver in terms of set up and development of the car I credit Renault's improving form over the course of this season primarily to him(remember how much faster the Mclaren was in 2007 compared with 2006 I also credit him for that leap in performance) Furthermore at this rate of developement I suspect Renault will be competitive enough next season that he would be in contention for the title.

What is Barrister (Dana) like?
Is he an F1 nut (like me)?
yes
Is he an extremely biased Lewis/Mclaren fan?
yes
Is he primarily responsible for most of the traffic on the "Pit stop" section of TS?
yes
Is all of his "propaganda" regarding how F1 are out to get Lewis and Mclaren conspiracy theories?
yes
Would I have it any other way?
Never, Don't change brother as much as your comments annoy me its why I love ya

After the race last night, I was thinking about F1 a little bit and who my favorite drivers are. Barrister and I got called out for being Hamilton fans and it's true, I'll admit that I'm rooting for the guy. He may not have the best personality in F1, but at least he HAS a personality. Massa and Kimi are some of the most boring drivers to watch during their post race interviews and it's hard to like them as people, as opposed to being just a part of the the car. I'm not brand loyal like some of you guys. I follow the drivers much more closely than I follow the teams, because I know that while the teams may always be there, it's the drivers that make the sport interesting. I really like drivers who have personalities and try to improve the sport instead of just competing in it. That is why I always loved Schumacher. As Barrister learned last night, I'm also a HUGE Mark Webber fan. Webber has some of the worst luck in F1, period, but he maintains a great attitude towards the sport and seems like a really personable and fun guy! If he could stay competitive, I'd love to be cheering for him to win the WDC at some point. I also like Hamilton because whether he intended to our not, he has brought a lot of attention to the sport and has really broadened the fan base. It doesn't hurt that he's a tremendously talented driver either.
So, now I've shown all my cards. I admit I like Hamilton and I make no apologies for that fact. I have my reasons, just like many of you have your reasons for cheering on your favorite drivers. At the end of the day, it's just a sport, but I still feel privileged to be able to watch every race and enjoy the sport as a whole with my fellow fans on this forum.
