18-135 or 17-85mm Lens for Canon T3i?
Hey Members.
I have a Canon T3i and the standard 18-50mm lens which is damaged, I also have a fixed 50mm 1.8 lens.
After looking around online for reviews etc the most recommended lenses for the T3i seemed to be 18-135mm and 17-85mm with the later getting better reviews.
I need a good all aorund lens for taking mostly car pics and some travel pics. But Mostly car shots. It shouldnt cost an arm and a leg either. If you had a choice of one of the above lenses which one would you choose and recommend. Thanks Guys.

I used to have the 18-135mm IS lens. It was great for car shows because it always focused correctly, it was light, it had a huge range, and it's clarity was good.
I gave that to a friend when I got my EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM and my EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM lenses. The 17-55 is doesn't focus as consistently but otherwise I haven't looked back. Unfortunately you get what you pay for with Canon lenses. That being said, the 18-135 is excellent value for money.
