Colour change when saving as jpg?

damn I'm disappointed!!! I thought you'd laugh at my noobiness! 
mmmh, camera says "standard" in the color menu! Supposedly it's sRGB.
Other options are "vivid" and "Adobe RGB". Perhaps I should change to adobe RGB?
Camera is a Sony R1, btw.
