Need a good photo printer

Not interested in laser. I have a phaser, which does decent. But I want Costco print quality or better, so am I looking at inkjet?

Also, is there any waterproof inkjet printer?

I have a few photog friends who swear by Epson inkjet, is that still the case?

Thanks!

dedicated photo or multi-purpose? i have a 10 year old sony DPP-EX5. it is a dye-sub printer and it's awesome. i don't think the ink jets or lasers can compare. the only issue is that it prints to pre-cut 4x6 only and the media is harder to find and it's not cheap.

Just color printer for printing photos. We thoght we were going to use Costco for printing, but that never happened. So we need a photo printer.

Our solid ink Xerox Phaser prints OK large print, but not as good as a good quality inkjet.

I just looked around online, looks like lots of photogs love this printer, and it's not some flimsy POS plasticky printer at 35 pounds. Really not that expensive. My POS HP Officejet was 500 bucks and it broke after 3 years.

For anyone interested in this printer, there are two coupons going on right now.

One of them is the $200 rebate.

Check these out!

I am ordering it.

Looks like a good deal. The R3000 we have gets allot of work and I just can’t fault it. Good luck I'm sure you will be happy with it.
