^%$ Need help badly getting printer for 9.2.2

My ancient apple laser printer finally crapped out.

I run a business that uses software for system 9.2.2.

I need a local printer or network printer for 9.2.2

Basically I can't get any USB printer to work with 9.2.2..

I have plugged in the HP 1022 on 3 different Mac's running OS 9.2.2 and can see the printer under control panel>USB print sharing and I have selected it.

Other than that I am clueless how to pring using this printer. I suppose a driver is needed but dont have it and cant find it.

Perhaps download.com has the driver you are looking for?

i dont think it's a driver and never even tried printing with a USB printer back in the day of System 9.2...oddly I got a PC onto the network that has been unable to connect to my server in over a year.

have to move change my software to somthing mainstream like Quickbooks...the upgrade to the new software is like 10K and it's not worth it..

Have you tried a wireless print server? Anyof your systems would print to the server (IP address), versus a local USB connection.

Options:

1) Any networked printer.

2) Any printer shared from another mac. e.g. plug a usb into an OS X box.

3) Any printer shared from a doze box, requires software like sharity for OS 9.
