Need a good ZOOM lens for my D90

Right, the D90 is DX and not FX.
Ken's website and other places were saying that the biggest problem with using FX lens on the D90 is the corner distortion, and that this lens is really more made for the D90:
Nikon 10-24mm

BTW, don't trust Rockwell, his reviews are shit and many of his reviews that he says are hands on are not, he hasn't even had the product in his hands and he writes reviews. He has a disclaimer (hard to find, but it is there) that says something to the effect that his reviews are for entertainment value only and not to base a purchase off them.
Stuka, maybe you should try this lens I saw at a Civil War event I went to yesterday

Try looking at the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 Macro. It's great in low light and for close-up shots as well. It's my go-to lens on my D700.
Also, you won't get any distortion using a FX lens on a DX body. Using a DX lens on a FX body however is a no-no.

Interesting... I pop on there when I want feature comparisons and seem to get pretty good basic technical info, but that's good to know. I guess maybe he writes reviews based on what he assumes it would be like given the specs?
