S90 is a very good camera for p&s, and I'm sure the 95 is a little better! In retrospect, I'd have got the g11 (12 now).

The Wifi drop'd the S90 so I just ordered the S95 from Amazon...
Was very happy with the 90 and I am sure the 95 will be great

If you dont mind the size go for the G12... its a "little" faster

I wish I could say I bought mine for girlfriend with only her in mind. And after playing with the camera and the exceptional f/2.0 and built in IS you can not beat this camera. She went to Iceland a week after getting it and the pictures are amazing. She took an SD1000 the first time to Iceland and the pictures this time are amazing. You can shoot RAW too which is a great feature. I know there will be times when I reach for this over my 40D. I've never seen it for 300 but did score mine for 350 from newegg.com.
