I did pull the trigger and I got the d5000..I love it! It came with the 18-55 standard lens, but I also just got the 55-300vr lens which is great. I haven't had to much time to play with it as yet. But I'm learning all about what a dslr camera can do. My daughter just bought the d90 and she loves it. The d5000
sits with me very well..Can't wait until the car shows start coming around.And I do use the tilt screen alot....I like the feature!

I have the D450 and it is a pretty good DSLR...I would get a mid range one and then get a good wide lens. just mho..
