need some advice on cameras

While the quality of a DSLR is unequivocally better than the standard P&S,uUnless you're a dedicated photog, skip it; you'll never take it along with you.

Just bought a Canon SD4000 IS. Little bugger packs a good punch. 10.1 MP, HD vid in stereo. Smaller than an iPhone (thicker obviously).

Could also consider the SD3500 which has the nifty full touch screen on the back, but opted against it because of the higher MP which supposedly degrades low-light quality(?) and HD vid only in mono.

I could certainly use a few lessons..the C-20D I have is not being used to it's full potential. And I don't take it with me, it's just too big and heavy.
