New Rebel T2i, 30fps 1080p video

So this puppy does what the T1i should've done from the get-go ... 1080 30fps (or 24 or 25fps) video with external mic. And photo, of course.
I'm liking this puppy for a compact do-it-all.

It does feel weird to be excited about all the video features of an SLR, though.

The exciting thing about it really is video through a SLR lens. Most lenses on consumer video cameras are pretty poor.

My problem with the T1i is the autofocus is loud as hell, and with the built-in mic you can even hear the small noise the lens makes when manually focusing. Maybe a lens with a quieter ring autofocus would be better, but unless you're filming something on which you can fix the focus beforehand, the audio gets more or less ruined (unless you're filming ALMS or something loud).

The external mic would be pretty handy in that case
