So I was going to buy the D90 tonight with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G DSLR lens, and what do you know, out of stock on Amazon, B&H, JR, etc.

Anyone know of a place that carries this thing in stock?

i know nothing about cameras.. so i hope this is the right one

 

I picked one up about 3 weeks ago and I think MiniD got one recently as well. I was on a wait list for over a month and a half before I got the call that my lens was in stock. MiniD wasn't quite as patient and paid about $80 over MSRP ($300) for his on eBay.

In either case, it's worth the wait/money. The 35 1.8G is absolutely the sharpest lens I've ever owned.

EDIT: One more thing - even though you'll get raped by CA's 10% sales tax, you might want to consider getting your name on the list at a local camera store. Couldn't possibly hurt if you're going to have to wait to find one online anyway.

 

Paid over on eBay. It's a great lense though!
