White balance - Nikon

To all that set the white balance manually every time they shoot, is there a significant advantage in using a lens filter over a white/grey card? I've been reading about the ExpoDisc white balance filter. Is it worth the money?

I've used both and I think the white balance filter is the best if you doing fixed shots on a tripod. But if you moving around different angles it's a pain to keep putting on where the card is much faster. If you looking to save money go with the card only over not using a WB source. This is just my opinion!

Also I wouldn't use the WB source to set the correction in the camera do all your correction post processing (RAW) and this is where Lightroom really shines because you can adjust a group of shot all together.

Just shoot in RAW. Can do all the PP manually afterwards in Photoshop or lightroom.

Shooting in RAW is an option, but I prefer to limit the amount of PP work on CS3. My goal is to be able to shoot in any lighting situation without having to worry about retouching later.

Thats funny because I actually think my favorite part is the retouching!

It is fun, but I don't see the point in taking average photographs to retouch them later. To capture light correctly the first time is what I "shoot" for.
