Badass "local" MMA event ...
Friday night was the XMMA show. 13 MMA pro fights, a great great show, and awesome fights! It's kind of local, but actually had several US fighters and even a dutch dude!
And I was there ringside. My first time and I'm not sure I want to repeat the experience since I was "stuck" there and missed many general and entry shots ... but hey. At least shooting from the post was fun.
Enjoy some shots ... criticism welcome.
This guy is Thierry Quenneville, against Douglas Evans. He received a serious punch and a kick to the face that nearly knocked him out in the first seconds of the fight, but he somehow kept together for the whole round ... and came back winning by a triangle choke in the second round. Instant superstar. By far the best fight of the night. That kick he received made the loudest "SLAP" noise ever ... the whole crowd went "OWWWWWWWW"
Oh yeah ... what's an MMA show without ring girls?
(did I hear camel toe?)

Sure did snap all these, thanks . I had my work cut out for me though as I was using a 35mm f1.4 ... in such low light it was godly. Makes me wonder about that 50mm f1.0 ...
I was soooooo relieved to see the fire shots come out the way they did. The guy walks on the ramp, and you get quick bursts of fire ... no way to really focus or expose anything (other than stopping up or down a notch or 2), it's pretty much click and pray.
