That monitor is widescreen 1920x1080, so it shrinks the 1200 to fit 1080 and the 1600 shrinks accordingly to fit the whole image on there.
I can change it to stretch the 1600 out to 1920, but then it cuts off the top and bottom
I always face the background dilemma - do I keep the black bars or crop out some of the photo. I'll often shoot keeping in mind that I need to factor in losing a certain percentage of the vertical if I'm going to want to use it as a full-screen background.
But HD movies look great!
