2013 Audi S8 First Test - Motor Trend

Hard to not consider over any of the competitors from Germany. Sounds like the obvious choice to me, if I was in the market for such a car.

3.5 my ass..... On 300mm slicks downhill on a rubbery drag strip maby.
Another outrageous claim that in 2 months will end up being 4.5

i believe it. with a 100 less horses people are hitting 60 in 3.7 in the s6 and s7. so even with the additional weight i believe that 520 can get it up to 60 in 3.5. the s8 actually has 20 more HP than a panny turbo which also does it in about 3.5.

just saying

I did 4.5s in my little Audi S4 DSG...

3.5s seems reasonable with over 200 more horsepower, and over 150 more torque...

There was another mag using a different S8 on a different day and area, and got 3.6seconds. The point that is more impressive is the quarter mile, because the 60 time is with launch control. So in real life driving you feel if when the 1/4mile times are below 12. Have not driven one yet, but assume it is a great combination of luxury, comfort and sleeper performance. The exterior is just OK but not a deal breaker.
