Hi, I also bought a A1 Quattro and the car is being produced this week. This probably means that the car will arrive in Switzerland at the end of the month.

With winter around the corner I've asked Audi in Switzerland about winter wheels and tyres and they have offered me only 6 X 16" with 195/50 tyres...

This is not large enough for me so I've been looking into alternative wheels and tyres and have narrowed this down to OZ Ultraleggera 7.5 X 17". However I don't have an offset figure for this size, only know that the OEM 16" winter wheels are 50.

For what its worth, The tyre pressure label on the door of the A1 Quattro says that it is also homologated for "215/40 R17 87V XL M+S" tyres.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Thanks

Had same problem with winter wheels but afterall had to buy 16' with 195/50 tyres. It's set that Audi recomends.
Watch out for wheels... it's a huge problem. You can't buy rims like for A1 because for normal A1 they are 5x100 and in A1Q they are 5x112.
This car have nave from Audi S3... so you shoul look for somethink that suits S3 8P.
But still there is a problem with offset. There is an OEM spacer in A1q....

There are too many thinks that I didn't know so bought those wheels.
Can't check ET without taking out wheels, and funny think it can't be done at home... because A1Q doesn't have lift... and lift from my S5 doesn't fit....

Thanks for your feedback. I would hate to be forced to buy the 16" rims but will do so if I have no choice. In the meantime I will look for a 17" solution and will let you know if I have any luck.

Cheers!

Found out today from the local dealer that the car is homologated for the Swiss market with 17" wheels.

The size is 7.5 X 17 ET51 (5 X112).

They don't have a wheel to propose at this time but with the official dimensions I can start searching for a model that I know will fit.

For winter i use MSW Winter Edition made by OZ. Very cheap and good. After all it's winter and you don't need a chromed wheel )
