Spied: 2013 Audi S3 testing at the Nürburgring

The hot hatch wars continue and Audi is not wasting time in getting the new S3 to market. These new shots from our trust Teamspeed spies reveal the upcoming S3 hot-hatch testing at the famed just moments after they spotted the rival Mercedes-Benz A25 AMG.

Reports suggest a brand-new 2.0 litre engine cranking out around 280hp, mated to both a six-speed manual transmission and Audi's seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic. All S3 models will come with Quattro all-wheel drive as you'd expect.

I love Audi's conservative approach to styling unlike the majority of other manufacturers these days. Very refreshing to see a car without a whole bunch of unnecessary lines all over it.
