Jblack4083 is an unknown quantity at this point
How do they expect the 4.2FSI to compete with the F8x M3's turbo engine that will be introduced in 2013 for 2014... Sure it will probably sound a lot better and rev a few hundred rpm higher but performance wise i doubt it will compete.

I was thinking of the B5 S4 vs E36 M3 and B6/7 S4 vs E46 M3. To me, it seemed to change when B7 RS4 competed with E9x M3. This is all USA specific.

U.S. pricing was just announced yesterday -- $68,900 to start. Not too shabby, considering a Prestige S5 starts at just a tick over $60K

If they think there's a market for "70K A5," then just bring the damn RS4 Avant here already!

why would they want to do that? they've already discontinued all avants to the US besides the new allroad.

But only the hamster powered version of the Allroad, no less.

At least BMW brings all M cars except the M5 wagon to the U.S.

The RS5 is on the US configurator now. The way I want it would be $83K.

That isn't terrible I thought it was in the 90's to 100's. Hmmmm maybe I will pick on up in a few years once some rich Dueche is bored with it.
