Following our first batch of images yesterday here are is another set of spy-shots our Teamspeed spies sent us this monring of the upcoming 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder. The undisguised R8 GT Spyder features the familiar GT body kit including 19-inch alloy wheels and that large rear spoiler.
The R8 GT Spyder will also come with the same power plant as its GT coupe sibling - a 5.2-liter V10 engine that develops 560 hp and 540 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h will come in at approximately 3.8 seconds and the car will have a top speed of 311 km/h.
Rumor has it that production will be limited to just 333 units. The Audi R8 GT Spyder will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show this autumn.

Looks like a Spyder with a wing? How are you sure it's a prototype in testing?
It says "familiar GT body kit and 19'' alloys" - to me those just look like 4.2 wheels in gunmetal and the 5.2 bumpers...
