Spied: 2012 Audi Q5 "S"

Our Teamspeed spies have snapped a few images of what appears to be the first test mule for a more powerful version of the Audi Q5 has been snapped today. We suspect that this is the Audi Q5 S since it has the quad exhaust pipes.

Power is expected to come from a version from the S4, the 3 litre V6 delivering some 333 hp. As we can see the brakes also have gotten an upgrade and are therefore bigger then we are used to see on a Q5. Expect a new front bumper as well as a modified rear bumper when it’s time to hit the showrooms in 2012. Stay tuned to Teamspeed for more info!

 

Is it wrong to hope for the SC V6 or a V8?

 

My money would be on an SC V6 but a V8 would make this a pretty fun little SUV

 

eh... never understood the S brand on an SUV. Same goes for M and Bmw.

 

it's simply a trim package...nothing else.

 

If history is any indication it will be more than just trim. Now if its an Sline thats just trim. But S usually means more HP, bigger engine, etc

Look at the exhaust pipes. This one's got 4 Has to be a different model

 

my question ... how come no photos were taken of the R8 next to it? I wonder what they were testing on that car because it has the same sensors hooked up to the wheels
