The red is by far my favorite, but it just lacks the menacing look. I figured there would be more than just the RS badge to set it apart from it s5 counterpart. I know, I know, there are small difference but that just it, their small aesthetic differences.

What is the powerplant putting out?

 

I disagree about red not looking menacing... It just needs the Titanium package. I saw this exact car in person and even my wife commented on how nasty and mean it looked.





It's got a 4.2L V8 with 450 hp, 317 lb-ft, but it feels so much stronger. Having owned an RS4, just from the seat of my pants, the RS5 feels a solid 50-70 hp stronger, and, with the S-Tronic, puts power down so much cleaner. The 8300 rpm redline is something to behold as well... It really was an eye-opening car.

 

I'm gonna have to go check one out in person. HP numbers look good but that torque is pretty low, guess thats the trade off for a high revving engine

 

The RS5 looks superb. Too bad it's still slower than an M3 in a straight line.

It is a beautiful GT though. Very well rounded.

Eh, who cares about outright speed? I am WELL past the stoplight dragstrip days. And I'll tell you, those 317 lb-ft feel a LOT stronger. I'd bet that number is available from say 1500 rpms up to 6000 rpms. It pulls like a freight train.
