Automobilmag reporting it is not coming stateside:

...These changes reportedly help the RS5 rocket from 0-62 mph in a scant 4.6 seconds. Top speed is limited at 155, but Audi says it can boost that figure to 173.94 mph “upon request.”

Those requests will likely come from customers from outside North America, as the RS5 -- much like the TT RS -- isn’t launching in our market. Audi’s product planners are, however, still trying to iron out a case for bringing this car stateside.

Not sure why this would not be launched here as the engine is the same as in the R8 and therefor there should be no issue with importing it, unless the profit margines on this car are already small in that case the US market would not make much sense. Again most Audis cost more in Euro than they do in Dollars in addition to the unfavorable exchange rate for Audi.

I just saw the article for this on worldcarfans as well and it seems like this car won't make it to the states. I don't get why. It's dissappointing

Any of our Euro TS'ers tell us another car at similar price so we can do a rough price comparison to USD?

Nothing in Audi's offering is close to 77K Euros. It is either 51K or then 85K.

Comparison base price of a S6 in Germany is 85K Euros in the US is $76K. Of course the German price includes 19%VAT. I guess most states now have about a 6% sales tax on cars ~$80K.

So an RS5 should really cost hear just under$70K MSRP.
