I think 520-540 bhp would be just about right for this car, so here's hoping...
I would be very surprised if the hp #'s turn out to be north of ~450 bhp.

Sure the RS5 will be a sweet motor but the Aston/GT-R combo is hard to beat, you don't have any mini-me's yet so do it now man before it's too late!!

I would too, but it'd be nice.

yes, if u look at the rev counter saying over 8k maximum then it can´t be a turbo, so v8 NA oder v8 supercharged, which makes me really surprised as i always thought in the name of downsizing audi wouldn´t bring out an high reving engine anymore

Ja, stimmt. I have heard conflicting things from Audi - we're downsizing engines, hence the 3.0 supercharged in the S4 and A6. Then this car looks to have a high-revving V8 again (not that I'm complaining). Who knows what to think? I'm just pissed we didn't get this version of the RS6.

The Aston/GT-R garage would be pretty disgusting in a good way. I'd get the Aston in manual so it'd be a total change of pace.

Already heard that this is one of the last V8s that Audi will put in its "normal" people haulers ...

I had an RS4 - I know how good that engine can sound. It's the looks I'm not so thrilled about. I could just buy a used RS4 and be happier.

I'm with you there Chris.

R8's have come down in price too, there's quite a few for sale down under at less than what the RS5 is expected to be.

You can always get something used for less and an R8 is obviously not comparable, than I rather buy a GT3.

I'm hearing 450hp - NA V8. A shame really as I was hoping the RS5 would follow the TTRS in terms of advanced turbo-RS's of the future.

I'm sure both the road-presence and overall package will be very very tempting though. They'd better come out with the replacement engine for the R8 quickly, or people are going to consider second-hand R8s instead. They'be been testing this thing for ages - so better be good...
