RS5 will be something special. Honestly even if it matches up pound for pound with the new M3's it still looks better, is more comfortable and has a far better interior... even with a $5-7k premium over BMW I think its still worth it... cuts into the M6 market I'd say!

I'm expecting the RS5 to be at least $210 ($189 USD)

Its doubtful the US will see this car. I have a relative who works are Quattro GMBH and if this car is coming to the USA it wont be introduced this year. Maybe 2011.
I hope they do send it- I am anxious to order one !!!
I think low 70k fully optioned is a good price point..
As an FYI we are already developing parts for the B8 S4 SC..
Here is what is on the block:
Cat Back Exhaust- completed
Down Pipes - Completed
Sway bar kit front and rear completed
Springs completed
BBK kit completed with both AP Racing and Stoptech
Power kit in the works with switching for stock-91 93 and 100 octane modes.
We have a Ibis S4 on order arriving in Mid March- Stay tuned....
I hope they do send it- I am anxious to order one !!!
I think low 70k fully optioned is a good price point..

I think the gap for the RS5 in Audi's lineup is big enough for them to fill it. You either get the relatively mild S4 or you have to go all the way up to the R8. Both on price and performance, the RS5 will fit the gap nicely.
I am still very disappointed the RS6 never came here. I'd have preferred that even over the RS5.
