S5 Engine Update?

Correct, the convertible is the 3.0 6 cyl. I am expecting our first one in early March. Audi will use the V8 in the coupe until the redesign. If you change an engine or any structural integrity in a existing car it has to go through all the Dot crash testing and analysis, EPA ratings and emissions etc. being a lower volume car (that has already spent the money to got through all this) it will remain the V8 for a while.
With the convertible having a different integrity than the coupe these tests were required, therefore the 6Cyl supercharged engine in the drop top.

I have a A5 3.2 and after I drove the B8 S4 I really was impressed... so much so that I wanted to dump the A5 on the spot and get that. The A5 bodystyle is really just beautiful but when you drive an S4 you realize its just a better drivers car, and for the money its very competitive so IMO the A5's looks only go so far. If the new S5 coupe got the same B8 S4 powerplant it would be probably 10k more so thats something to consider as well, Audi kept the new S4 under $50k to get the 335 market.
I am still considering a B8 S4... not only is it a fantastic car to begin with but there are some very exciting aftermarket stuff on its way... APR is up to some things!
