LOL, Monroe shocks!?

So I am waiting on my car to get new tires, and S4 Avant apparently uses Monroe shocks with VW/Audi stamps on it.

And at 17K, all four tires are down to the wear bar.

Must be the 3800 pound weight.

At 24k I'm on my 3rd set of tires, and I chose those tires for the treadwear :P

I put Monroes on my truck and they do quite a good job considering the beast I put them on.

KYB is a MUCH better inexpensive shock than Monroe. I have seen cross sections of both, and the quality of the hard chroming on the piston and seal quality is much better.

I was getting 9K on the rears of my GT2.

I guess it must be the weight, since I have never tracked the S4 Avant.

993 OE shocks are Monroe too, and they suck just as bad.
