Thought on Electric Cutouts on S4

OK, so I have a B7 S4 with APR downpipes and Milltek Non-Res Catback. I am thinking about adding a set of electric cutouts to the exhaust when I want to run straight pipes. I know I will lose a little low-end torque due to lack of back pressure but should regain it in the top end.

What are everyones thoughts on cutouts. I just think a straight piped V8 at 7,500 RPM's would sound PRETTY!!!

go for it - it's your car, and if you don't end up enjoying the sound, its what? 150 bucks out of your pocket?

Im sure everyone here would love to hear a Enzo with straight Ti pipes, or a Pagani with the same.

Depends on what you like in terms of sound. There are a bunch of Youtube vids with straight pipe S4's.

When I had the MTM exhaust installed on my old S4, I went around the block a few times with straight pipes because I was curious how it sounded. Definitely not for me, it sounded cheap and as if something was broken. Get an exhaust with a refined sound.

If you heard the RUF pipes on my P-car at WOT, you'd probably take "girly" back . . . You silly Canadian, you.

I didn't invite you over for dinner. I said "come over for a movie or something ... and maybe more!". How the hell does that become "dinner"?

Oh, and happy holidays to you too

I'd say go for it. That 4.2 from Audi sounds rediculous with exhaust mods
