Powerboats...Any Suggestions?

Maybe someone can help me out... I was an avid boat person back in the day owning such as a 45 Apache, 38 Cigarette Top Gun,etc. I am currently in the market for a "fun boat" between 25 and 33ft but with a ton of POWER! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Fun boat with plenty of power

With all due modesty....take a look at the banana boat co website.

They have the original designs from Cigarette, Magnum and Apache. They could build a nice 24 or 28 or larger.....up to a 41 foot with whatever power you want. Those designs are timeless, and classic. A boat that will be instantly recognized as a Don Aronow design and pedigree.

Everything is custom. They really enjoy creating something unique working with the customer....think Ruf if you wanted a nice 911 with plenty of power.

Google Charlie McCarthy's banana boat co.

Lots of options in that range. Are you looking for a V bottom or a Cat? Single engine or Twin?

Preferably a V-bottom and I am open on the engines!

I have seen a 25Motion Cat (center console) online that would do 105mph (gps) with twin 300x's

I'm sure it would do very close with a pair of 300XS strokers. Pretty badass combo - standing up at 100+ would be a cool feeling.

Well, a few V-bottoms I would consider in that range are the Eliminator 300 Eagle XP, the Howard 28 Bullet, the Hallett 270S and 290S, the Adrenaline V30, and the Fountain 33 Lightning. Let me know if you are looking to go full custom with big power, as I can point you to the right people. The build process on a custom boat is half the fun. Good luck, and let me know if you need any more info.

as many has suggested, there are lots of choices.

To narrow things down a bit:
-what type of water will you be running in:Lake (big/small) or the Ocean?
-Do you like/need a cabin?
-Do you want a large cockpit for entertaining?
-Do you like to sit down or stand up while running the boat?
-Do you like to go fast or cruise?
-Is there a specific Top speed you are looking to enjoy?
-will you be trailering or moored?

Have fun!

You are clearly a West Coast guy! Funny to see how different the brands that come to mind East vs West. Not saying one is better than the other just different what comes to mind.

For a cat, I would say Skater and a pair of 1200 Mercury Racing engines.

I agree with the post with all the questions.....
